Bullets flew past a block of flats in the Duquesne district on Saturday afternoon, leaving one person injured and at least three people with property damage. Allegheny County police said the shots were fired shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon on block 200 of Dukein’s Harden Avenue. “I was lying on the couch, I thought it was a fireworks display,” said Brian Krasman, who lives along Harden Avenue. “It was very close, so I looked out the window and just saw a man holding a gun – he was screaming, so I didn’t know if it was moving or what.” Neighbors told Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 they heard between eight and 10 shots. A neighbor, who wished to remain anonymous, said they came out with a flat tire in their car. “I was upstairs on my computer, I heard about eight shots coming down the stairs, I saw a young man running up the street,” the neighbor said. “My neighbor was already outside, there was a bullet that went through one window into the other (and) the tire of my truck was flattened.” Allegheni County Police said the first responders found a man with a gunshot wound to his leg, taken to hospital and expected to be well. “We have lived for more than 30 years and we have had no problems in this neighborhood at all. “I really feel disturbed by this and I hope that the police can do something to stop the violence here,” a neighbor told Pittsburgh’s Action News 4. It’s annoying, I was worried that maybe someone else was injured or someone else was injured, so I was walking up and down the street, another neighbor on the street found a bullet on his porch. “” It was scary, because yes, I’ve lived here for six years and this has never happened before, I’ve never seen anything like it, “Krasman said. It’s awful and I’m sure they’ll say the same thing, it’s better than losing your life. You can fix a tire, you can fix a window. ” No arrests have been made so far.
